I don't care about the exp share but if it's gonna stick around then EXP yields should be cut by at least 50%, if not more.
Level curves in general should be way, WAY steeper so that players are actually incentivized to track down and battle all the trainers in order to keep up with the levels. That's basically why levels existed at all in the series, so you can't just skip all the battles and need to work your way up the hard way. I don't like that recent games have allowed brain dead players who can't bother actually learning the mechanics to just overlevel in a matter of minutes. Sure, you could always do that, but it used to be really tedious, as a punishment for failure to win with skill. In fact, one of my favorite parts of the older games is seeing all the obvious gen 6+ babies complaining about how grindy the games are, it makes me happy to know that they're unable to enjoy the games like the rest of us. It's a built in casual filter, and I want it back, the series NEEDS it right now.
