You never know what set it runs.
Defensive support can still threaten via body press, set up rocks, knockoff, spin etc.
Hyperoffense set gets a crazy move pool so as long as you get a rapid spin boost you can sweep with it as Terra allows to switch to a different stab.
My favorite set is with Rapid Spin, Ice spinner, Knockoff and Earthquake.

Deo-D is not a defensive Pokémon, or at least that's not why it was banned. It's actually really mediocre as a wall, but it used to be the most effective hazard lead in the game by far and enabled degenerate HO builds with Bisharp and a spinblocker. In gen 8 Mew got Spikes and Toxic Spikes, and sported similar bulk to Deo-D with more speed and versatility, so since Mew HOs never took the tier by storm due to Boots being a thing, it was concluded that Deo-D would have been fine if it ever got released, but it never was. It's still waiting to get its chance in OU.
