>>53240444I've played since RBY myself and I have to say gen 6 is by far my favorite.
Gen 1-3, pretty good. Still feeling it's way out and has classic charm.
Gen 4-5, Absolute dog shit. Gen 4 was far too safe and gen 5 was far too different, both failing spectacularly to meet a nice middle ground.
Gen 6 - Best in the series. ORAS is a great spin on a remake, letting the originals keep their uniqueness while cleverly adapting the generation gimmick into the fold. XY had great Pokémon diversity and it's the game I've replayed the most.
Gen 7 - I liked it. It was mellow, relaxed, and didn't take itself too seriously. I felt it was a good "vacation" for the series and while not spectacular, I don't think it was aiming to be.
Gen 8 - Absolute horseshit. SWSH was about Hop and Leon, and you happened to be there. Also too many cutscenes that frankly disrespected the player. Also BDSP was a clusterfuck and I've seen fan games more polished.
Gen 9 - I like. I really do like it. The story was pretty good, the game was fun, and I appreciate the overworld. It seems to have learned lessons from previous generations and picked some of the best features, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel like they usually do. I just wish it wasn't a buggy mess, but Gamefreak's incompetence is to be expected after all these years.
My opinion is right, and I will not respond to anyone disagreeing.
