Dark is a really good target to hit, but Fighting generally does better. And Psychic's fallen off quite a bit unfortunately, and again, Ghost and Dark do that job way better. So it's not an outwardly necessary trait to have. But the worst part is, just how many god damn things resist it. Fairy, Fire, Flying, Steel, Poison, Ghost and Fighting. That's a metric fuck ton, and to make matters worse, theyre ALL common types (except maybe Poison, but even so its relevant enough). It's fucking ridiculous.
On the other hand, Bug is actually decent defensively. Being resistant to both Ground and Fighting is a really nice trait, and it pairs well with a lot of other types, most notably Steel.
