Sometimes, when I'm lonely

Why did he turn evil, /vp/? The games were getting increasingly better, B/W was cool, B/W2 was awesome, then came X/Y and he turned cold and condescending towards the franchise. The whole team began making the games as pandering and easy to fans. He was going on interviews stating that he can't compete with phone games "and that fans shouldn't have high expectations." What type of dev says that about their work?

Then came the dexcut, where the game director pussied out and had Masuda state with a cold stare in his eyes and he was locking half your Pokédex out of the game in the name of a lie. Then once he was back to Japan, he was acting like he hadn't caused a civil war in the fanbase, and was lying to children on Twitter trying to hide the cut.

It is clear he has no passion for Pokémon. His music became more generic, he is ever more bored during interviews, he cared so little that BDSP was a disaster produced by a sweatshop in China and by far the worst Pokémon game ever made.

I never thought that a music composer would make a good game director and one of the brains behind a multibillion dollars franchise. I have no idea why Nintendo went that direction, but it is pretty obvious that the only reason TPC promoted him was to give him an office where he could not sabotage things further.

Do you think he still loves Pokémon, or is it another Tajiri situation, where the man doesn't want to have anything to do with the IP anymore?
