i'm not trying to make any gen look better im just saying gen 2 had more mediocre designs cause it was right after pokemania and they were playing it safe for the sequel, hence all the baby forms and unevolving mons

This is anything but playing safe lmao. The whole point of the babies was the show off the breeding mechanic so you can unlock rare mons. The single stage mons are to reflect the fact that these are super rare Pokemon that went undiscovered in Gen 1. But of course you are a retarded zoomer that doesn't understand good game design.
