>>53288608>SV's map design sucked and was almost entirely devoid of landmarksNot really. Outside of the "Wonders of Paldea" (which I admit didn't really work because the only noticeable ones where Glaseado's Grasp and the Obsidian Spire things), the map is interspersed with memorable landmarks either by their striking visuals compared to everything around them or their intricate design contrasted to the wide open areas. I haven't plated the game in close to a month now and off the top of my head I can name Socarrat Path, the swamp in Southern Provence, the cliffs east of Mesagoza, Dalizapa Passage and the surrounding caves, and Alfornada Caves+that natural walkway that extends out of them. PLA's locations all had names, but they had jack shit by way of intricate design or standout visuals to their surroundings. The only ones I can remember off of the top of my head are that flower patch where the Shaymin event happened, Ramanas Island, and the peak of Coronet Highlands (both because the snow was distince from the rocky cliffs of the rest of the area, and because the music was baller). And these are all because of the visuals to be clear, none of them had much by way of interesting design
