About to fight Noble Avalugg in Legends: Arceus. Have no set team aside from Samurott and Porygon-Z since I spent the game completing most of the dex, but Parasect, Toxicroak, and Avalugg are random Shinies I found in the overworld (Suggest a name for Avalugg if you want).

From a gameplay perspective, not much. Japanese RG have different Pokemon sprites and slightly different overworld sprites. That's pretty much it. If you've never played Gen I before you might as well play English RB or Yellow.

how are you so overlevelled? i did an emerald run with a team of 6 and was only level 39 when i reached the league. i made sure to go out of my to battle every single trainer as well.

Elite Four wasn't too hard but Lance's Kingdra caused me a lot of trouble.

Probably my favourite Johto team I've ever made, was so fun using these.

When I add a new Pokemon to my team I level it up against wild Pokemon and trainer rematches to make it match the rest of my team before I move on. I don't face any 'new' trainers or gym leaders until I do so. So all Pokemon pretty much receive the maximum exp they can get from all trainers and gym leaders without needing to catch up
