Make it Dark/Electric, swap it's Attack and Sp.Atk to play up the "brute exterior belies cunning mindset" aspect they mention in Occulture, remove 20 points from HP and 10 from Defense to let it hit the speed of 102 which lets is blaze past the base 100s

I run a set with a defensive nature and one more point of defence over attack with 200 hp investment and assault vest. puts in good work in electric terrain. survives much of anything whilst killing the innumerable glass cannons.

Being a physical-attacking Electric-type Pokémon doesn't help, at all. And the +11 to Speed is worthless.

being a rock type with a stat spread based on ttar means it's always going to live in ttar's shadow because ttar has fucking everything going for it on top of 600 bst.
being a physical attacker with two bottom 5 physical attacker types does NOT help.

I think the main problem with it is the same problem Tyranitar had, in that Stone Edge as your best Rock move is terrible. I had an Iron Thorns sweep ready in Random Battles because I got a Dragon Dance off, but Stone Edge missed 2 times in a row and it went down. I think they should introduce a new Rock physical move with high BP and high accuracy and its drawback is just that its distribution is limited to only Rock-types. They threw Ground a Close Combat when it already had EQ so anything is possible.

Five generations later, I’m still mad that they made this move. It completely shits on the idea of risk / reward ratios for high BP moves. The risk goes out the window the moment you give this move to something fast. And why the fuck is Dynamic Punch still sitting at 100 BP and 50% accuracy when Close Combat exists and confusion was nerfed?

I hate thinking about balance / game design when it comes to pokemon.

It's literal fact that low ladder players often try sticking rigidly to what works after getting their shit kicked in after trying hastily put-together meme teams. Flutter Mane is common at both low and high level because it's easily splashable in Doubles, for the same exact reason Great Tusk is literally on over half of teams in Singles (so your bitching doesn't even work in that context either). Doesn't mean it's somehow broken.
