I've always been mixed on Sceptile, but its mega kicks so much ass it's insane
Same for Charizard (Y)
Mawile and Banette were undeniably improved, Beedrill looks so much less clunky and so much more killer, Gengar Absol and Abomasnow look outright incredible-
It's such a shame they were cut and just usurped by gimmick after gimmick after gimmick. Megas should've become a mainstay that was only refined further with each passing entry.
Shame that they gave them out to braindead fan-favorites too. Not a single pseudo needed one, nor did any fucking legendaries/mythicals, and Charizard having 2 was beyond excessive.
