Thoughts on this?
Area Zero was pretty unsettling (for a Pokémon game) and the overworld music is really good, pretty smt-lite. I wonder what direction they're going in with this.

I don't get why people love the area zero music so much.

Would be cool if it wasn't stuck in a Pokemon game that does the bare minimum and has graphics from 2002. you know its not gonna go in any real direction. It's just gonna be a funky looking alien cartoon mascot for kids.

I can see that being the case. I get some strong demiurge vibes from it. Or perhaps it being something eldritch entirely that exists outside of what Arceus created. Not to sound like a schizo but I noticed the crown on the chameleon and it reminded me of the mountains circling area zero as if those mountains are the crown itself.

That's kind of what I don't like about it though. It doesn't have that hooky pokemon charm. It does make sense in game though, so I don't feel like it's badly done or anything really

I do wonder if it has any relations to Zygarde. I think it's possible with hard hard gen9 goes into the hexagon theme but it might also have absolutely nothing to do with Zygarde

I agree. The hexagons could be a coincidence. I think Zygarde didn’t have its time to shine yet, though. I hated it’s appearance in SM…
This time would be perfect as Zygarde basically is the guardian of the ecology which somehow the Paradoxmon are a threat to.

I don't know why everyone thinks it's going to be a pokemon. Even the journal log says whether it is a pokemon or not is unknown. I think it'll be a relic built by ancient people/aliens.

It had pitch-bending, a mixture of traditional instruments and modern synthesizers.
It's using the Pentatonic scale, which is very harmonious, but it gets pitch-bent and goes from heavenly to hellish.
The Music does a better job than the Graphics at expressing the otherworldly nature of the crater.
There is a sense of anticipation that things will get more distorted as you go farther down.
The music is VIOLENT and SERENE.
Also, the 1st and 2nd boss music tracks incorporate some motifs from the crater music.

I'm pretty sure that it being a planet and the gimmick being "terastal" that "tera" is part of the name.
Maybe "Teraou" for "Earth King".
