I gave him defense because I thought Pikachu was going to have Volt Tackle, and he was Brave instead of Modest because I forgot to give him a mint before the fight.
I just spammed Giga Drain to help stay alive until I was able to tera, then I spammed Energy Ball and Terrain Pulse until it died.
I actually got pretty lucky, because he missed a few Thunders, and the ai Gardevoir paralyzed him with Synchronize.
Basically I had no plan and it still worked out.
