Characters capable of reviving are a fucking staple of Jrpg genre. They should have been a thing in Pokémon way earlier and shouldn’t have such retarded restrictions.

Funny thing about Smogon dumbasses is that I believe Pawmot was immediately shoved into OU because it had Revival Blessing before they realized it wasn’t that good and dropped.

It's not a awful mon but it has to work hard to get one revive off, it basically never gets two off so a lot of people have started to use items other than Leppa Berry.
They also banned the mons who capitalize extra from revives (Houndstone, Annihilape).

it works because revival blessing is not on assist's blacklist as assist does not exist, so instead of saying "all new moves are blacklisted" smogon morons decided "all new moves are whitelisted" and thus, revival blessing can be called with assist.

The whole point of Pawmot and Rabsca getting it is that they fit it symbolically but they also can’t abuse the move as well as other fatmons would. On Pawmot/Rabsca it’s risk/reward.
