Especially for pokemon like Mawile and Lopunny, which really feel like their Megas properly "completed" their concepts in a way that did replace their non-Mega forms (unless you like using Klutz I guess?). It'd be an easy thing for these two as well, cause both aren't third stages to begin with so you could easily just retcon their, and other similar situation, Megas into proper evos. Might need some rebalancing, though, given their stats and a now free item slot.
