I feel like Pikachu pandering is its own category separate from kanto pandering as a whole.

Also given how this suspiciously ends around the same time as the presents instead of the normal raid end time, I imagine they will announce another raid at the presents

I sometimes wonder if there are people out there that genuinely get excited for whatever Pikachu event they shit out. Like, is this something that makes their eyes light up and say 'wow, that's cool, I really want that!'.

there are genuine Pikachu collectors out there who attempt to get every event and form of Pikachu there is. I saw someone in an injection discord ask for some obscure Pikachu event from 2003. Those people certainly do exist

I thought it was interesting back when they first revealed the Flying Pikachu event and they made it kind of seem like it's exclusive to that event. Though it is better that there aren't any restrictions to changing tera type. At least this one has the special mark

Because this is Water Tera Pikachu, so it can get STAB Surf, if you're adamant about running Surfing Pikachu for whatever reason. Easier than collecting 50 tera shards.
