ITT post your Pokémon Opinion’s AS WELL AS your perception of the general consensus of that same matter on this board. I’ll start:

Gen 3 > 2 > 5 > 4 > 7 > 6 > 9 > 8

From what I can tell, gen 3 is the most well liked on this board. All Gens have detractors but gen 3 detractors seem rare and pretty outnumbered, it’s the only Gen that seems to get largely uncontested praise.
Gen 2 and 5 seem to be very divisive, both clearly having considerably sized fan bases and also considerably large hate-bases - potentially because HGSS and BW2 are the most “pushed” as the “best” games.
Gen 4 and 6 seem fairly disliked on this board, with most people agreeing that they’re not great. Gen 4 seems to get more defence due to the existence of Platinum tho.
Gen 1 is largely seen as a classic above the usual criticism due to its status as the original and the lack of former success, but most agree that it’s also not great when put up to that scrutiny.
Gen 7 seems to be quietly but consistently loved on this board. Also seems to be agreed upon as the “hardest” Pokémon games.
SwSh clearly have 0 real fans aside from a few super duper insistent compfags that could honestly be baiting
Too soon to say for SV but lately it seems the more positive sentiments have fizzled out.
