Modern will be vintage in 20 years.
Modern will cost as much in 20 years as vintage costs now because in spite of all the hoarding, there will be way more fans. Motherfuckers think vintage dind't have thousands of cases hoarded by "investors"? Fucking youtubers still opening first edition base set booster boxes for their giveaways, this shit is nowhere near as rare as the prices would make you believe. Now 20 years from now, yeah, Gen 1 shit will be rare, but it'll be prohibitively expensive. New fans and collectors will have to start with moderately expensive "modern" shit, they're not gonna have 30 grand to drop on a base 1 booster.
Collect what you wanna collect, but take care of your cards, just because there's a sea of graded perfect tens doesn't mean 20 years from now shit won't be diluted between significantly more fans.
