i hate this thing but I want to like it. I like that it's a fucked up monster but I wish it was fucked up in a coherent way. I hate it's weird eye sockets and its shapeless hands and stub feet. is it bird like? lean into the bird aspect and at least give it bird feet.

The eyes are part of what makes it cool Scovillain is 100% plant unlike other mons, it doesn't really have eyes, its teeth are seedlike protrusions that also stick out from its jaw, and that tongue is more like a thorn. It's a full on plant beast.

i just hate the fact it's a mixed attacker i prefer when mons are good on only on attack and not wasting numbers in other stats imo it should have been

i think it may have been giving equal offensive stats since it has Moody (or maybe the other way around) the thing I hate is the fact that Pokémon’s battle system is so incompetent that most of the time Pokemon are actively punished for being having two decent offensive stats.

I have got the weirdest fucking gripe with this thing. The way the arms are posed and the way the legs are separate from the body make it look like some angry old man with his pants pulled up and his hands on his hips while he's yelling "GET OFF MY LAWN!" to some (Capsa)kids.

(BST of 525, good enough for a stone evo)
It now learns Flare Blitz, Solar Blade, and Heat Wave.
Speed is now 80 so it can either function as a strong Sun sweeper with Chlorophyll or a standard Scarf Sweeper with a strong STAB combo and beefy offenses to back it up

People don't give a shit about the originality of a design as long as they like the execution. Maushold is probably one of the objectively least changed evos from it's prevos in the entire series but it's undeniably one of the most popular mons o the gen because people liked the execution that much

That IS shit, which is why I boosted both of it's offenses to 120. That's exceptional for even dedicated attackers on either side. With a another means of boosting speed like Sun+Chloro, Scarf, or Tailwind (in Doubles) it's a force to be reckoned with that only really has to worry about strong priority (like most every other speedy offense mon) or, in the case of Doubles again, opposing faster mons under Tailwin
