>>53295486It would never work. Pokemon is way too safe and sanitized in its concepts and worldbuilding to pull off anything like Survive without embarrassing itself. And beyond that, just imagine how horrible a VN written by Game Freak would be, and how much the fanbase would complain about having to read text.
Digimon can make games like this because the franchise has always had elements of danger, horror and survival, as well as a heavy focus on narrative and lore, from the beginning. This is also why the anime made the Kitaro formula work so naturally with Ghost Game, but a horror-themed Pokemon anime would be terrible.
