I think the ideal choice would be a mix of Wild West and "Industrial Revolution" visuals, because while Unova is America it has a lot of british castles and shit in it's aesthetic, so I think some visual ties to Galar/England would work nicely.

Alder's design always struck me as native american inspiredo, and we do have a giant desert in the middle of the region, so Wild West would be it to me.
Starters could be a Fire/Psychic Shaman Blaziken, Water/Poison bandit Inteleon and Grass/Steel thorny spiky Meganium

A good game could easily include all of these.

instead they'll do a generic plot that conveniently sidesteps and ignores everything that would require time and effort to make, in the same way PLA ignored all of the actual history of sinnoh like the solaceon ruins, snowpoint temple, and just made it about a handful of big angry big pokemon that needed calming down.

Literally none of those make any sense, nor do they respect the actual point of unova which is being an urban modern region.

It works for Sinnoh because the theme was myths and legends, Unova does not share that theme.

Literally the only way it could work is if it's set in the future.

I would want Unova before any sort of colonisation. All cities exist as tribal towns, with Kyurem rocking up as a response to the arrival of Galarian people.

I'd like Cold War/Atomic era, where the urbanization is still in its infancy, there's plenty of other regions to act as foreign agents/saboteurs, we can finally go back to the war subplot dropped in Gen I and the clash over truth and ideals takes on another dimension when the bomb is on the line.

If Game Freak aren't total hacks, then Pokemon Legends Unova may explore the war between the twin heroes and take place around the Relic Castle. In White 2 there is an old buried village near the desert on Route 4, which suggests early civilization. It is basically the center of the Region, and could be the hub for the game.

It's like those people who loved to claim "I can trace my ancestry back to royalty!" to make themselves feel special. Wild West is cliche but at least it offers up the vast expanses that Arceus had.

Given all of the literal aliens [both planetary and dimensional] we have running around now, I'd base it around the height of the UFO era so we can potentially tie up Unova's relationship to Alola and possibly canonize Orre to some extent. You have abductions, bizarre creatures roaming the landscape and infecting local wildlife, people awakening to powers once relegated to pulp sci-fi and dime-store fantasy novels and an organization trying to either make sense of it all or nip it in the bud. A sort of modern mythology angle to offset the previous game.

Just because we have the sages and N doesn't mean that it can't be expanded upon in a game set set during the age of Unova royalty. The potential in the relic castle and abyssal ruins alone offers more than a simple wild west theme without resorting to out of place sci-fi.

I want a game about the OG Dragon, not kyurem specifically. It’s something that exists in the series but they’ve done nothing with it, like how Arceus was, hopefully Zygarde gets that treatment too eventually.

Yes and we learned absolutely nothing new about their origins or purpose for being built. Regigigas existing in snowpoint temple again doesn't add anything new to its lore or give any insight into why it's there in the first place. PLA was the perfect opportunity to expand on these things but they didn't have the time or drive to flesh it out and phoned it in as empty hallways.

Not really. Sinnoh didn't have as much of a back story to it.
Unova on the other hand had a full monarchy, civil war and several massive ruins
