The diving beetle would be a cool water/bug type. I'd imagine it would be an offensive tank with a good physical attack stat, and water bubble for its ability.

On a different note: How do these monster-collecting RPGs not accidentally plagiarize each other? It's not even just Pokemon and Digimon, there are a bunch of other series. You take an animal and add fantasy or sci-fi elements to it, there's gotta be a few parallels.
