Did you check your settings? I know some artist put things behind a pay wall, but mostly its in the open. I made my account late November of 2022 and I'm good.

If its a recent change, as in at the beginning of 2023, I heave yet to hear about it.

I think that's an issue with your settings or something. The only stuff Pixiv limits you on is being able to sort by popular posts. That, and you have to go into the options to turn off the filters that hide the real bad stuff like decapitation.
