was really hard to choose for a few gens because honestly gen 4, 6, and 9 really don't have that many good pokemon in them (9 especially), with 6's especially being easily over-shadowed by megas (a lot of which I just like more than the original mon selection) and 9 just being full of trash (at least 8 had some shoe-in candidates for certain types, gen 9's got nada lol).
Tried to avoid repeating entries wherever I can, and the "favorites of each type" are pretty skewed as a result (since you can only choose from the available pool of your "favorites per generation", which excluded some of mine due to me putting them with other types)
