The irony is TPCi does like Jimmy Zoppi/Cathcart, they think his "humor" in slang, alliteration, and rhyming is the pinnacle of amusing- whereas it is worse than scripts 4Kids churned out. Add that to Goldfarb replacing more of the OST than Loeffler ever did for 16 years prior, and on top of that, boring dry opening theme songs etc. hence we get the terrible TPCi Pokemon dub.
>>53342409Sarah is just not a good Ash, Zoom Zoomers and on will defend it at first but even growing up they are now admitting the old 4Kids VAs were better than the current dub VAs. Really it's more damning of the Pokemon Company International they do a worse job than a dead company in 4Kids Entertainment did at dubbing their own main series in the PokeAni.
The problem is their own dub studio is with Konami now on Yu-Gi-Oh, and their Yu-Gi-Oh dub team was and is notably worse than their Pokemon one, so it'd still be a step down but above the current Pokemon dub likely if it switched hands to there. Even LA can't save the dub with TPCi's trademark soullessness in dubs, Origins was the best post-4Kids Pokemon dub and that was in 2013.
