At this point, they should just release on mobile. It doesn't look terrible, but there's something off-putting about everything that I can't put my finger on. I think my brain is trying hard to be excited for this, and, aside from Terrapagos I just can't be.

It looks too modern futuristic. Pokemon always had a retrofuturistic kind of aesthetic, going for that old 80s Alien kind of technology. Things got modernized around gen 5 but these all bluey LED hologram projection high tech futuristic nonsense was always reserved for spin offs like PBR and Masters.

I don't mind the utopia vibe, but it's so jarring because they'll put it right alongside with the retro future aesthetic and no gradient in between. I'm all for doing shit for the sake of it looking cool, but it needs better steering.
