If they don't get a good ending in the Ashime I am going to riot. Ash can go have gay sex with Goh and Gary for all I care, as long as Jessie and James get to have canon sex with the purpose of procreation.

I would love for Jessie x James and Ash x Misty to get proper endings, but let's be real here. Pokémon has been soulless for over 20 years now. The two most obvious ships in the history of anime will most likely forever be unresolved. They will give us some wishy-washy non-ending to leave the door open for future cameos/movies. Get ready for a criminal mismanagement of a 25-year anime.

Corporations have figured out that a forever IP like Pokémon is not allowed to have actual character growth anymore, because that means you can't monetize them as much or bring them back later if their arcs are already completed. Just look at how Disney has raped the character of Luke Skywalker.
