In a monoracial society, a negative interaction between two individuals isn't automatically assumed to have any underlying implications. Sometimes people just don't get alone, or they were having a bad day, etc., whatever. But in a "diverse" society, especially one as propaganda-saturated as the modern West, any negative interaction between two individuals of disparate races is automatically and invariably blamed on "racism" or "unconscious bias", etc. It's ruinous for the nation's overall mental health, and it absolutely destroys social cohesion, as we've clearly seen. If there are any benefits of "diversity" (massive unproven "if"), they are heavily outweighed by the downsides.
