The game is kind of hard at first when you're starting out because of all the resources you need to strengthen your sync pairs. I would focus on rerolling for a meta character you like and then go from there. My recommendation would be Sygna Suit Diantha since she's very strong and has a lot of utility. She was practically made for Sygna Suit Brock.

I started back in pre-EX days when I was told to reroll for Lycanroc. Spent half a day rerolling and just gave up. In the meantime I picked up on Genshin Impact - so I'm somewhat more familiar with gacha games. I honestly would rather pay 5-10 bucks for someone to reroll a starter account for me. Apparently powercreep is constant and even Lycanroc is not as good these days.
