>>53338197I agree, on the seven challenges, I found only a few interesting enough to do, like the classic tower, the factory, the pyramid and...that's it. Also having to build multiple Pokemon for a challenge like the auto battle or dojo was a chore so I managed to just build 6 Pokemon and cross my fingers during the leader fights.
I at least got all the 7 silver medals, but I couldn't bear to grind for gold.
Platinum shorted that to 5 zones but the idea was the same basically.
The main gimmick was to make an endgame quest that would last long enough to entertain children for a long time but most of them got bored and it had the opposite effect. I definitely don't do much postgames in any game nowadays so I would definitely do something else. (I enjoyed Legends Arceus a lot but didn't do any trial at the dojo or the survival mode in Arceus' dream).
The beauty contests were just enough.
