Yeah, I noticed that too. Charizard and Mewtwo are two of the three Pokemon that got updated models in SV, yet this is still using the old ones.

I guess it's because Mega Charizard X doesn't have an updated model due to not being in the game, so they used the XY models for consistency

That's more or less what Dialga and Palkia were doing when Cyrus awakened them in DP

Or a generation prior, Kyogre and Groudon causing a global flood/drought when they were awakened

Digimon Encyclopedia exists and there is also the WonderSwan games (canon to the anime) explicity says it can destroy the entire World/Timeline.

Another things that Digimon fans tend to forget that Digimon and Pokemon are fictional so they can become as strong as writers wants them to be. At the end it comes down to how strong writers can make them and Pokemon has a huge advantage over Digimon over that

Digimon profile entry are even more unreliable and non canon then Pokédex entry. Nothing in Wonderswan game has shown Zeed destroying timeline . All he did was send his servant in various timeline to alter time which is something Celebii and Light Trio can do easily.

Digimon are Digital Monsters which mean they has to be Digital. Pokémon can be organic, digital, spiritual & Alien which gives them bigger scope than Digimon.

They're just showing the same ONE popular pokemon over and over instead of the numerous other extremely popular pokemon. You don't need to go from a top 5 pokemon to a bottom 100 pokemon, you can just choose another pokemon in the top 10 if you must. Hell, even a pokemon in the top 100 is extremely well liked and recognizable to nearly everyone. Top 20 to keep it safe.
