Why the fuck couldn't the AI be assed to clean up the lab a little? It knew it was expecting guests. Did anyone not bother to teach it how to be a good host, or was the professor who's memories it's personality was based off of a total slob as well?

Everything Terapogos has produced does not match up with the journals descriptions. If its producing only what the professor wants/expects to find, then there is no reason to believe that the professor would expect to find a literally made up pokemon exactly how its creator described it.
