Yeah, stuff like this just reinforces the sentiment that the best Pokemon can do now is all accredited to a time the devs actually liked what they were doing. Most alternate forms are just palette swaps of older mons, and the ones that aren't look fucking ridiculous. I tried to like it, but I think I'm sticking to Iron Blades or whatever it's called

How so? It's not a real Suicune, it's an imaginary creature based on a drawing in a hack's journal that was brought into existence by Terapagos. There's no reason it can't coexist at the same time as the real Suicune, because they're unrelated.

It wouldn't be the first time we've been deceived in a Pokemon game - they call the Legendary birds you meet in the Crown Tundra Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, even though it is implied they're actually totally unrelated 'mons in the same vein as Toadscruel and Wigglet. One of the recurring themes in Scarlet and Violet is that things aren't what they appear to be - something you would have caught on to if YOU had actually played the game. So again - prove that the 'Time Machine' didn't just conjure Walking Wake and Iron Leaves out of thin air.

Heath's journal explicitly states that it and Iron Leaves are literally in-universe fakemon OCs, and the fact that they're now living beings running around Paldea just proves that they're the result of Terapagos' magic shenanigans and not actually the real deal - meaning neither own replaces the original versions or is actually connected to them in any way.
