Unironically this was peak pokemon.
With some exceptions like Ambipom and Magmortar, all of them are great and some of the best designs in the series
I especially love the babies they added

I love baby pokemon and I hope we get more of them.
1. Pokemon just feel more complete when they're part of an evolutionary line.
2. These pre evolutions allow you to raise these pokemon earlier before they finally evolve. For example, instead of waiting until mid game or later to catch Snorlax, you can catch Munchlax on route 1. It feels better this way. Overpowered pokemon getting actual stages. Single stage mons suck

One of the things I really liked most about this generation. It raised my expectations for older pokemon to get evolutions more often but that might be on me
