>>53364024All I’m saying is, the market of people who buy remastered/remade games for new content is probably a fraction of a fraction. Surely from a business standpoint we can all understand why it would be an egregious waste of time, money, and resources to reinvent the wheel on these games. From a financial standpoint, what would there be to gain from fundamentally altering Sinnoh’s combat and working in megas or dynamax or variants? Remember New Coke (what am I asking, of course the zoomers on this board don’t remember)? There is never any financial benefit to shaking up what’s a proven success just for the sake of shaking it up. FRLG, HGSS, ORAS, LGPE: all these games’ sales figures failed compared to their contemporaries, why would they ever make a reinventive remake ever again? I swear you guys could save a lot of heartache and a lot of thought if you stopped looking at this series like the child you were when you first played it and started looking at it like the adults who create it. What benefit does GameFreak have to do anything original with remakes, especially when their most vocal critics are impossible-to-satisfy banshees like the retards on this board with ever shifting goalposts for what the series should be? Masuda’s based here, remakes not being 1:1 was a misfire that definitely cost them a lot of time and money, it’s not a mistake we should expect to see them randomly start making again.
