Since this is the Geeta team thread, might as well post my take. I tried to keep it generally in line with how the "harder" fights in these games are designed while adding my own take. My idea was that her team should be all Paldea Pokemon, all stuff that nobody else really uses, and designed to prevent excessive switching/setup from the player

>Regardless, Glimmora is always next and it always sets up hazards turns 1. This is the one Pokemon you can set up on on her entire team. Figured I didn't want to deter setup alltogether. However if you set up on it and can't kill the rest of her team you're gonna get punished pretty hard
>Brambleghast is there to be annoying as shit with STABs + Leech Seed and Curse.
>Gholdengo is just a mon with solid coverage to hit most of the team, same with Espathara. I could give Gholdengo Nasty Plot but I didn't want to be that mean
>Finally, Kingambit rounds out the team as the last mon if Palafin didn't die. Flying Tera is to throw new players off who bring in their Fighting and Ground types and demonstrates how defensive Tera can be scary on offensive Pokemon

It's not perfect but I figure it makes for a challenging enough final fight

To be fair, using Glimmora last is thematically fucking great, but it does cut the potential of its ability a lot. It's okay that she doesn't use Kingambit fully last, though it does have the most potential in that position.

I found that by using Circle Throw and accidentally forcing a switch into Glimmora early, fighting her actually got harder due to the presence of the toxic spikes. All of that said, it's still stupid that Glimmora doesn't have any STAB Rock moves.

They improved Lorelei's AI in Yellow, but Dewgong will most likely use Rest on the second turn (and second turn only). In all the other turns, she can use any move, even Rest, but most likely to use an attacking move.

Switch Veluza with Palafin

The reason Glimmora is her signature, besides being a rare Pokemon, is because it alongside Espathra is the only special attackers and it's a very high special attack, especially for a rock type, it's much better suited.

Kingambit is great but you have to understand the AI is built to switch to whatever will kill your current mon, that's why Kingambit is not her signature, so she can bring it out whenever she wants.

I'm not defending Geeta and her team but I'm so fucking glad that GF doesn't go by Smogon rules and generally doesn't give the NPCs "competitive" teams (and when it does, it's a part of character, like with Wally's final team - symbolizes his gitting gud).

Actually, the real reason why it's Glimmora is due to the fact that her team is supposed to represent all the biomes of Paldea, with Glimmora representing Area Zero, as it can't be easily found outside of it.

Spoiler: she's not supposed to be best trainer in the region, despite being champion, Geeta wasn't the final boss of the Gym Challenge, it's Nemona. Geeta even says that Nemona held back when they battled. It's exactly like Clive being the ultimate challenge of the Team Star storyline, while Penny is a glorified victory lap.
