A picture of Laventon is literally in the history classroom. You can argue it’s not canon to whatever timeline the older games are on but it’s canon to SV.

If there was consistency in the world I wouldn't mind. But as it stands Pokemon are stored in a PC as data, can be edited with data disks (TMs), and are healed through their pokeballs at a center through the same technology. Also if there's nothing to a PokeBall except a hollow living space then why do they flash when you release the Pokemon? Just for show? Nothing makes sense when you apply shrinking to the world.

There's no set canon for pokemon games.
Oras introduced the whole idea of every game being it's own timeline through trade links.
The whole shit with alternate universe/dimension. Timetravel to.

Unless they make a canon book that sets lore in stone just assume every pokemon game is it's own timeline and canon.

Manga is it's own canon
Anime is it's own canon.

So yer, Legends archeus, they shrink. Other pokemon games, data. Etc etc.
