Picnic resetting an outbreak. Got herba, but also have the line shiny waiting for a GO transfer, so not wasting herba on them. If it shines, it shines

Hoo boy. Had 9 days off work from the 20th Feb (started back Wednesday). In those 9 days, I managed to find from lots of different outbreaks: shiny Vaporeon (m), Shiny Axew, 2 Shiny Fraxure (evolevd one to /Hax), 2 Tandemaus (one now a family of 4 Maushold), 2 Shiny Teddiursa, Shiny Vaporeon (m), Shiny Skiploom (evolved it as I had a random Hoppip/Skiploom already and shinyline), Shiny Alomolola, Shiny Azumarill (again, the pre-evos were random finds, so I competed), Shiny Sandyghast, Shiny Sableye (gutted, I was after a Greavard or Houndstone, already had 2 Sableye), Shiny Bruxish, Shiny Bounsweet (another completed line for the living 'Dex) and in the last 3 days since going back to work, I've found 4 Shiny Vaporeon (3 m, 2 spawned at the same time, 1 f finally), 2 Mareep (was after one to complete the line as I'd gotten two random Mareep previously, two spawned at the same time), Shiny Grafaiai and sandwiched a Foongus while hunting for it or Shoodle last night as well as a Surskit in US (as SOS is far easier to do than trying to hunt the cunt on water, though legit, I'd set the chain up on like saturday and the prick refused to show up). I also found 4 shiny Cacnea, a Wailmer and a roaming Shiny Latias in the GO Hoenn event (wasn't raiding Latias, just hunting the wild-spawn ones for a shiny).

Just because they're neat, mostly.
You might want to build a Shiny Dex.
Even a trash shiny can be good for trading if it's one of the more popular ones, you can get Legends and Event pokemon for them sometimes.

I spent almost a full fucking week resetting outbreaks to find a Bellibolt one since I refuse to strain my eyes to see pic related. I managed to finally find one and nab a shiny from it but oh my fucking god was it tedious. Before I even found ONE Bellibolt outbreak I managed to see

The longest I've ever spent on an outbreak reset spree, my fucking god. To top it off, when I finally found it and ate my Electric Sandwich, on top of finding the shiny frog, I still had enough time to find a shiny Iron Thorns and I decided to shiny hunt Tynamo for shits and giggles, thinking I wouldn't find one.
I found one somehow.

Here is every single Shiny I’ve caught in Legends: Arceus within a month of playing it. I shuffled between Shinies around the postgame since I had enough to have a full team of. The Gallade, Graveler, Bronzong and Gligar I all caught today.

I hope the Safari ball comes back and for some new cool shinies that aren’t locked. It would also be cool to have starter raids and Pokémon locked behind home back. As far as fears go I really wanted part 2 before 1 but I see why they did the other way around. Expectations are just being kinda underwhelmed really.

None at all. I have six boxes full of Charmander so far and it's getting kind of depressing, I've never done an egg shiny hunt before but I've never had a shiny Charizard in my life and I REALLY want one, but this is the most depressing and time-consuming bullshit and I hate it.

Not likely, but the will of RNGesus is fickle.
You'll take notice that that Combee is female. Females only show up 12.5% of the time.
The man got I think 6 male shinies before his got his Female.
So the only one in the thread looking forward to that sort of pain is the shiny Sandile hunter.

Dunno if this will help anyone, but I got lucky with a Naclstack outbreak in northeastern Paldea. A rock shiny/encounter sandwich only has Nacli and Naclstack spawning around here and it's pretty easy to spot their orange heads with the grassy surroundings.

If it's not shiny locked, it shouldn't be any worse than a Portal Legendary.
Just save in front of wherever you get it, speak to the person, and see if it's gold or silver, and reset accordingly.
Wrapping a rubber band around your 3ds to hold down the LR buttons makes it a lot easier, then you just have to hit A and Start as needed.

I swear I had better luck in SwSh without a shiny charm doing masuda method. After hatching 560 Froakie I’m taking a break to hatch Zorua and I’m already dreading it. Overworld hunting is so much better.

Legit Shiny Manaphy.
To start, you need a copy of Pokemon Ranger that has never been beaten, and had the Manaphy egg extracted from it. You cannot do this on a new file of a beaten game.
Next you need to transfer it over to a Gen 4 game. This will likely be a fresh file.
Then you hatch the egg, and see if it's shiny.
If not, you reset and transfer it to another Gen 4 game.
Rinse and repeat until desired outcome is achieved.
For a pokemon egg to hatch shiny, it's secret ID needs to match your secret ID.
So you're constantly starting new games in the hopes that you'll roll the same number as the egg.

Assuming no outside programs to check IDs, you're playing the same intro of two games over and over and over and over until you get to the earliest point that you can trade pokemon.
Then you have to hatch the damn thing.
It's a process with odds that might be even worse than Full Odds, with extra bullshit thrown in, doable ONLY IF you can find a fresh game in the first place.

might have something to do with how gender and shinyness gets calc'd in gen2, you are just way more likely to get a female one depending if the attack dv of your shiny ditto is 2, 3, 6, or 7 since Ledyba has a 50/50 gender ratio

I read somewhere that if you have two shiny parents the child will always be the opposite gender of the mom (male), and I had the opposite issue of getting male shiny Hoothoots when I wanted a female one using a male parent - so I feel like there might be something.

its probably a bit too big for an infographic. ive actually been thinking about writing a huge guide myself because there isnt really any centralised source of info at the minute

its just a case of getting every ribbon on a mon, there are lists of ribbons out there (i used this one: https://sites.google.com/view/athis-ribbon-handbook) but it doesnt have much by way of strategies to get the ribbons because some of the battle towers are absolute bastards

i wanted to do full RMs with every ribbon which meant they had to start in a GC game. you cant hunt at all in XD since everything is shiny locked and hunting in colo is a tedious, buggy, mess. i might do one more with a shiny some day but i didnt want to have to buy colo and then hunt 6 shinies in it

The chinese treasure legendaries if you haven't found them, the evolutions items (elemental stones, Metal Coat, etc.) can be bought at a store. Stack up on Exp Candies to skip most of the leveling grind and I'll suppose you have a NSO sub so you can hop on some raids if you need to

I got the Shantae soundtrack legendaries, got some stones, equipped a Scyther with a Metal Coat, I need to catch a Slowpoke to put a crown on, for some reason need to evolve a Salamence, get a decent Finizen to trade evolve, then the rest are version exclusives. nothing, you either encounter it to roll the die or just let it go
even then i think how dexnav works is that it only has a significant boost on multiples of 50/100 and even a max search level of 999 only slightly boosts odds forever so basically just don't give a shit about it
