Asked this earlier, but does anyone have a spare fire-type they'd be willing to spare?

My normal go-to's Terra type is Earth, and I'm not sure I want to waste the resources on a -mon with shit stats to change it's Tera-type.

My go-to fire-type for raids has been my Arcanine, but go figure, it's Tera-type is Ground, which does shit since he doesn't have any Earth-type moves.

I could just manually change his Tera-type, but I don't want to waste the shards on his shit-stats ass, so I need something in the interim until I can catch a better one, or at least something equivalent.

I have almost a box full of 4-5IV timid/modest moon ball/premier ball/ dream ball, from wondertading for about an hour yesterday.

If you want to be a real hero, catch and wondertrade a bunch of paradox mons and exclusives to your game. I've gotten 1 roaring moon, and 2 iron hands out of thousands of wondertrades.

I'll start giving out breedjects as well once I get set up, but all my Ditto's and resources are still on SW/SH/Home, so I'll need to look into getting a perfect Ditto, foreign or otherwise before I can start breeding, let alone how breeding actually works in this game.

I'm waiting for the same myself. I got lucky some guy on here was giving out free 6iv dittos and I nabbed one, but it is annoying because before that I was gonna wait for my ditto set up in home also. Breeding is actually much easier in this game, the picnics make it so you can just put the controller down and do whatever while you wait. getting rid of the breedjects though sucks ass

Also I had more breedjects for you if you wanted them.

oh yea, basically how it works. You make a sandwich (if you dont the egg rate is terrible), you just stand near the basket, they spawn 10 at a time in the basket. you accept them 1 by 1 and they go right to your box. repeat until the sandwich time ends.

I need some suggestions--I got a Torkoal with 0-attack that I want to leverage. As far as personality-wise, naturally I should pick a personality where his attack is weaker, but I don't know if I want to buff an already high defense, or if I want to buff his sp. def to make him well-rounded. Depends on what you want to do with him
If you plan on being all special attacks, you can go for an Assault Vest to give you that extra boost of special defense.
Otherwise, his defence being high means you can spread an even amount of EV's into the special defence and maybe even HP to bulk it up more balanced

I would love to play more competitive, but you aren't allowed to have fun, it is all sweaties using pro teams or cheese strats. The META is solved so fast that the only thing that makes it mildy interesting is when they open the flood gates to a pile of new mons to build around, but that only lasts so long of course.

That's only in person VGC tournaments or really high elo showdown. I got top 600 in VGC this season using a Grumpig and Zoroark because I like them. So unless you plan on going for the absolute highest ranks you're able to use whatever you want.

Iron Leaves is the one that actually takes some strategy. And that strategy is reflect, maybe some burn+hex action although it's a little wonky, and having a dark type that doesn't die to grass moves. I set up a hydreigon real quick and it worked great as soon as I found an online team (forced to because scarlet) that didn't immediately get 3 kos.

Am I better off trying to provide support in an Iron Leaves raid or trying to just nuke it? I have a reflect Grimmsnarl and a Leech life/swords dance Lokix set up, but it seems like whichever one I pick is always the wrong option. It depends if the poketransporter is downloaded from bank directly or makes you pass thru the eshop
if the second is true 100% you are out of luck
I installed both with homebrew and then updated them both with the eshop, so thats an option

Yeah you have to finish it to check, if you save before you can reset the game back to before and the raid will still be there as long as it hasn't gone midnight.
Even after finishing in coop it wont force you to save so you can keep doing it for as many hosts as you want.

With wake I believe you could cut down the attempts by just checking if it's proto boosts speed instead of sp.atk. I noticed that whenever I got a +speed nature one. Though as a violet player joining, I still had to sit through the raid I couldn't just reset then.

All you need to know is that Tera-whatever just changes the Pokemon's typing, and gives a massive Same-Type-Attack-Bonus, or STAB if you use the same type move.

It's helpful for covering weaknesses in competitive, but it's practically necessary for high-level raids, specifically when they raise a shield.

As far as raiding, buffs/de-buffs are king, and so much so, you'll probably have one team for raids, and one team for competitive.

That's only if your Tera-Type is the same type as one of the pokemon's original type. If you tera fire and you wasn't a fire type originally you aren't gonna get a massive STAB bonus from fire attacks just a normal STAB bouns.
