The sci-fi trope of having machines take over the planet in the future. In the future, Pokemon and humans become extinct and this leads to the rise of machines pretending to be Pokemon to try and mimic the previous status-quo.

Partly this. Primarily though, and it applies to the Scarlet Paradoxes names' as well; the existence of Paradox Pokemon fits more in line with "cryptids" of the real world; more so than the actual legendaries/mythicals. Paradox Pokemon are not classified by any institute and their existence has only been attributed to recent and only a few eyewitness reports.

Robots are the future. We will replace humanity soon enough. Also, Iron just sounds cooler than Steel, so that part just works. Naming everything so similar is bad though.

Because in the Far Future, Pokemon went extinct due to Human's constantly mating with them, causing the line between Human and Pokemon to be completely erased.

Due to the genetic predisposition to mate with Pokemon, Future people created the Paradox Pokemon to ensure that they won't go extinct due to their unwillingness to mate.

All Paradox Pokemon are sex robots, and Cyber-Turo ditched the present and his flesh-son for infinite poke-bot sex.

They're fakemons dreamed up by an autist who read tabloids. Even the most "machine like" looking Pokemon still have organic parts to them like the eyes on Magnemite or Metagross having a mouth it uses to eat with. Even Pokemon who evolve by taking in metal, or are even made entirely of metal, still have a "natural" appetence that future Paradox Pokemon lack.
Anyone who thinks Pokemon will naturally evolve into robots with toy-like joints, spring loaded heads and fucking LED emote eyes is a moron. The Paradox Pokemon look like props from an amusement park in the 2000's, they already feel outdated.
