donphan with pink spikes is the polar opposite of change and innovation and the textbook definition of "getting the same thing for 20 years"
gen 8 introduced a new concept for how fossil pokemon work but they didn't need to rehash an already existing design in order to do it

I liked fossilmons because it was cool bringing back old creatures from the dead. Galarian fossils are literally stitching a new creature together and causing it to exist in intense agony for no reason. They don't even have the benefit of having nice designs. Horrible thing.

Those dex entries were literally made up by Cara Liss to pass off her chimeras as if they were legit. Much like how scientists came up with all kinds of theories for what dinosaurs could be based on their jank ass rebuilds.

they've been remaking designs of older pokemon since gen 6 which is literally an entire fucking decade
i'm sick of these gens where they only introduce 70ish new pokemon and they rehash at least 30 or 40 older pokemon to make new designs. why can't we have a gen like gen 5 again where they actually introduce a sizeable number of pokemon and they're all brand new pokemon? maybe making forms of older pokemon isn;t a bad thing in a vacuum but when it seemingly makes up half the new designs in the last decade, i can't help but see it as anything other than laziness
