I don't like the Elite 4 / Champion part of Pokemon games. By the time I get to that part of the game, the excitement I had when I started the playthrough has long since worn off, and I'm either dying to get to the post-game or I'm thinking about other games I'd rather be playing. Also, the difficulty curve of Pokemon games gets really annoying at the endgame. Everything up to the E4 is so easy that I can zone out while playing, it's a super chill game. And the post-game in entries like Emerald and Platinum is fun and interesting. But the E4 is in that annoying middle ground where it's just difficult enough that I have to actually pay attention, but not difficult enough to actually be fun or interesting. DESU in my last couple playthroughs I've started to just spam X items on the E4, idgaf if it's cheesy.
