It'll be just slightly more plot-focused/serialized than the Ash anime, with Liko being on some kind of quest and the edgelord boy being against her for some reason. Roy's on some related quest and tagging along and Fieder is their transport.

I hope there will be some kind of progression. The best part about Ash journey was when you could feel him grow and change and mature. People complained about him but the biggest issue people had with him was never that he was a bad character, it was that he was stagnant. If Riko manages to grow and the status quo in the show changes just a little bit people will love it.

Kids will probably still watch it. It'll lose a good chunk of the older audience but that's irrelevant. The characters look completely generic but the Pokémon look vibrant and hopefully they have battles with good animation. I won't watch it aside from clips on YouTube.
