I've never cared about the pokemon anime. For me, the whole appeal of pokemon is exploration, building my own team, developing my own strategies. There's none of that in the anime or various manga series.

There were gyms in Galar, he went to them, he met the gym leaders, he BATTLED the gym leaders and won... yet he never once showed any kind of interest in the Galar League. It's so absurdly out of character it hurts.

Why would he care about Galar league when he is already competing in the WORLD championships? The quality of the world championship tournament is an entirely different matter as well.

He only fought Bea, and that was secondary to tournament. The point of JN was the world coronation tournament (and eventually masters eight). He did not fight her for a gym badge. The only OTHER gym leaders he battled were
