Why do you people still care about this franchise despite the quality of the games falling drastically year after year and Gamefreak obviously not caring? Genuine question.

The games have only gotten more ambitious and experimental over the years. You can say what you want about the quality, but they objectively put more effort into these ones than they did prior.

The quality has recovered just as often as its gone down for the entire history of this series. The only difference between old games and new ones is how much time you've had to convince yourself the old ones were all better.

But Anon, the last two releases have been huge improvement. Speaking as someone who didn't buy a game between 2015 and 2022, GF has won my business
