Not even that, give him 20 hp and attacks that actually deal fucking damage, and electivire is set.
His biggest weaknesses are his almost-enough speed and dogshit moves in terms of coverage.
Hell even something like Iron Fist instead of Vital Spirit will bring him up.

Also had an idea for a Dusknoir signature ability that basically give a drain effect on all of it's Ghost Type Attacks.

That's what Pain Split is supposed to be. Ghost isn't supposed to get moves like Giga Drain. But then again, GF doesn't really give a shit about type lore. They gave a draining move to Fighting of all things.

I’ve loved the Dusclops line since Gen 3 and was hyped for Dusknoir in gen 4. Around gen 5 when I started understanding EVs, natures, movesets etc I realized how shitty dusknoir is, and has been pretty much stagnant since its introduction. I can’t believe it hasn’t even gotten a decent physical ghost move. Sucks that one of my favorite evolution lines has always been putrid.

OT I don’t get why dusknoir ditched the red shiny.
