I actually had to force myself to stop using Sandslash on my teams. He always comesaround at the perfect time and just sweeps the E4 and champion. Not to mention it's a perfect design.

single use tms are only a problem if you're playing mulitplayer, as part of the single player experience however, it adds to your team building and makes you have to make judgement calls

that's literally the exact same moveset I use for sandslash every time, down to the slot arrangement (excluding slash, I substitute that for rapid spin in generations where it's 50 BP and boosts speed)

Then set a rule for yourself not to use a TM more than once?
Pokemon is piss easy anyway but there's no reason why you should make it tedious for multiplayer use

Slash at 24 is plenty good and you get the Dig Tm pretty much as soon as you get sandshrew in RSE and FrLg
