Gen 9 was rushed out the door so they can align Gen 10 with the 30th anniversary of the series. They are almost definitely working on it as we speak, and it's likely why Gen 9 is such a huge shitshow.
With that said, no. I don't think it'll be better. It'll, at most, break even with Gen 9 or, if we're lucky, Gen 7, quality-wise. Why improve anything when they can literally do whatever they want and make guaranteed astronomical sales? Almost every generation since Gen 6 has been record breaking first-week sales.
I try to remain a hopeful and optimistic person, but I'm also a realist. Pokemon isn't for me, you, or us anymore, and not buying the series won't make a shred of difference.
