It doesn't matter how many non Pokémon games I play. It doesn't matter how much grass I touch. It doesn't matter how long I go outside. I'm still mad.

Good for you that you feel that way but that's wrong and I can't. Collecting and transferring was important enough to get multiple subscription services and collecting was the only side activity in the original games. Not everyone cares but it objectively matters.
