In SV, they have the TM machines and a Poke Mart next to the nurse, so I guess they do have a means of income. Actually from BW onwards I guess every Pokémon Centre has had a mart to provide income.

Probably Pokémon League, they establish in SV that it's rich as fuck and operates as a pretty big business with its hands in many pots (they fund the school, the Gym Leaders and E4 are salaried employees, they offered Penny a job too). They kind of made a point in this gen to let people know that the League has money for some strange reason

I'd assume in the real world, we'd use a point system similar to Paldea's League points instead of actually handing over cash after winning a battle.

Pokecenters would be free, but Pokémarts and other amenities would probably cost us points.
