>>53407270It's not really that long. Like your average Pokemon game is maybe 10 hours and the Colo games are theoretically shorter, being essentially 5 evil team bases apiece (maybe Citadark counts as two). Maybe if you try training up a lot of Pokemon it can take awhile thanks to how slow the fights are but otherwise they're really short.
>>53406763The thing that absolutely sucks about these games is that they SHOULD be good.
>desert region with solid variety in visuals from an oasis to a volcano to a port town to sci-fi environments>gloomy/grim tone and atmosphere at least in Colosseum>all double battles>some trainers actually employ strategiesNow imagine if there was actually exploration, freedom, side stories off the beaten path, places you didn't have to go, things to do, and it was actually fun to play.
People love the idea of these games more than the games themselves. Seriously. I thought I loved the games too when I was a kid but I tried picking it up again and just couldn't do it, it's such a fucking slog. It especially sucks that a lot of the flaws in the game are not present in RSE - Id like to imagine a timeline where the devs of these games played RSE and incorporated a lot of what makes those games good into Orre.
